Multi-purpose recreational area managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Swimming beaches are located on Coralville Lake at Sugar Bottom, Sandy Beach, and West Overlook recreation areas. These beaches are all open to the public for swimming. The Sugar Bottom beach, which is located by the mountain bike trail is free. The other two beaches charge a fee. A day pass is $5/non-commercial vehicles or $2/adult for walk-in or bike-in. Children under 16 years old are free. Sugar Bottom Campground also has a beach for use by registered campers.
Coralville Lake has three campgrounds with just over 500 campsites-- Sugar Bottom, Sandy Beach and the Dam Complex. See details.
