Camp Tanager – Year Round Camp Opportunities for Youth Ages 6 – 17
Camp Tanager provides youth from all walks of life with an opportunity to succeed through a variety of fun and educational activities designed to help kids develop life-long skills. In a world where technology has taken over, camp allows kids to take a break from TV, cellphones and the internet and gives them back that time to rediscover their creative powers and engage with the real world – real people, real activities, real emotions.
Each Camp Tanager program is designed to help youth experience success and become more confident. Camp allows youth to reconnect with nature, grow more independent and make new friends. Read on to learn more about the programs offered at Camp Tanager.
Summer Day Camp Programs
Day Camp is a great introduction to the camp experience. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming, archery, nature appreciation and more! Each themed week of Day Camp is designed to promote overall health and fitness by engaging kids in wholesome outdoor group activities.
Residential Camp (Free Campership Program)
Our longest running camp program began in 1926 and has provided free camperships for over 50,000 youth. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities while living in a cabin with a group of peers. Activities are structured around our five character development principles of teamwork, friendship, integrity, independence, and leadership.
Medical Camp Programs
Our medical camp programs offer residential summer camp experiences for youth that may not be able to attend a camp program due to their medical needs. Camp Tanager offers week-long medical camps for kids with Diabetes and Hemophilia. Additional Family Camp weekends for kids with Tourette Syndrome and Hemophilia are also offered during the summer months.
From Winter Camp programs to school groups, birthday parties, team sport rentals and more, there’s always something going on at Camp Tanager. Schedule your next event at Camp Tanager or check our website for upcoming camps and programs.
