Be Inspired! Anneliese Tisdale Presents Her Story of WWII & Coming to the U.S.

 For Inspire It week at the Library, join us Thursday, July 27 from 6-7 pm in Whipple Auditorium at the Downtown Library to hear Cedar Rapidian Anneliese Tisdale share her first-hand account of living in Munich, Germany with her family through World War II, then coming to the United States as a war bride. In 1950, she became a U.S. citizen, went on to earn degrees from the University of Iowa, taught in the Cedar Rapids school system for almost 30 years, and raised three children as a single parent in an era when that was not in vogue. Come and enjoy hearing Anneliese's personal story, which has enraptured audiences around the world, and be inspired!
