Has a large handicap accessible playground made of recycled or recyclable materials.
Shelters and picnic tables are available throughout the park.
Stocked lake has a separate swimming area open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Beach area has changing rooms, restrooms and water.
Over nine miles of grass and crushed rock trails give ready access to the lake. Seven historic country road bridges are incorporated into the trail system. In the winter, some trails may be used for cross-country skiing.
Kent Park Family Campground was voted "Best Place to Camp" in a public opinion poll done by the Press Citizen newspaper. Has many camping amenities and a playground just for the campground.
Conservation Education Center is open to the public and has a hands-on learning center featuring interactive displays, dioramas, a wildlife viewing area and many other interesting features. Also provides year-round educational programs and workshops. Current programs include prairie hikes, fishing clinics, programs on specific outdoor skills, day camps, weekend workshops, and much more. Many educational materials are available for checkout, including insect nets, aquatic study equipment, binoculars and other materials. For further details contact the naturalist at (319) 645-1011.
