Bookish Arts and Crafts: 3-D Scenes in Altered Books

Thursday, March 2nd, 2017
05:30 pm - 07:30 pm
Cedar Rapids Public Library - Downtown Library at Children's Program Room
Are you ready to engage your creativity and imagination in an artful undertaking? When was the last time you called the right side of your brain forward on purpose? Join us from 5:30-7:30 pm on the first Thursday of the month at the Downtown Library for hands-on recreational arts and crafts projects with bookish themes for adults of all ages. For March, we will combine cover art, illustrations, and the alteration of books to create unique 3-D pieces culled from your own fertile minds! Be ready to cut, bend, fold, arrange and secure your selected items into works of art. Each project in the Bookish Arts & Crafts series is selected to be completed within the session, and will vary each month in the type of materials and techniques used. Not a skilled crafter? No problem! Come and play around with what we have on offer, and see where your creative mind takes you. Register now to reserve your place. We look forward to seeing you! Many thanks to the Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, who support this program.
